After being transported to a mysterious Southeast Asian jungle Mary, Lilly, Laura and Simon encounter the mischievous and malevolent Monkey Prince. The Monkey Prince feeds mainly on fruit, insects, and small animals, but it will also eat larger animals that have been wounded or are sick or dieing, it is also quite fond of carrying off small children. Though it is unclear why it does this, the halls of the temple where the Monkey Prince lives are littered with tiny human bones. Legend has it that the monkey prince seeks a girl who is pure of heart so that she may become the Monkey Queen. In the blink of an eye the demonic primate snatches poor Lilly and carries her away to his palace deep in the heart of the jungle. Mary and the others must set off on a hazardous journey into the jungle where they encounter all manner of dangers including, quick sand, giant bugs, an enormous man eating gavial, and an army of masked warriors and on top of all that a mountain in the distance is rumbling ominously and billowing clouds of smoke. Will Mary and the others make it to the palace of the Monkey Prince before the volcano blows, or will Lilly become the Queen of the Monkey King?
